I’m really pleased with how much my staff enjoyed training with John. They said it was fantastic and that his style was brilliant. They’ve learnt a lot and the information has really stuck with them (a lot of them usually don’t remember anything!). Thank you

Just a bit of feedback from the Health and Safety yesterday. The team really enjoyed the course, they said the trainer John was interesting which is not easy with HS, and they learnt lots.
— Sam Bradshaw, Manager, North Hill Care Home, Sheffield
I would like to thank Clare Khan for delivering the training, it was very relaxed and the staff now have a good understanding

Ackroyd Clinic is a care home based in Rotherham, they provide quality nursing and residential care support to their residents. They were approached by Aspect training; a specialist training provider in Health & Social Care to assess their training needs. After they were identified employees from Ackroyd were offered a level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care.

Margaret Mason is employed as a care assistant mostly working night shifts. The training has not only benefitted Margaret’s job role she now feels more confident to learn new skills, and doesn’t feel uncomfortable about undertaking further training, she explains:

“This is the first qualification I have ever achieved. It has given me lots of confidence as I have dyslexia and have never had the confidence to complete courses like this before…by having one to one sessions with my tutor, it has given me the confidence to complete training that I didn’t think I would be able to do and this has helped me feel equal and as good as the other care assistants where I work.”

When asked about the impact of the training and future plans Margaret stated, “By doing this training I am able to carry on with my job role it has given me the skills and knowledge that I need.” Her aim is to now carry on working in care and to keep her skills and knowledge up to date. She is particularly interested in completing a qualification on awareness of dementia.

I have been in the caring industry for 20 years and have dealt with a great number of training companies, but I have to say that Aspect Training are the only company that have completed what they promised. We have had inductions completed in short time and done with eagerness. NVQ level 2 and 3 are near completion and again the carers are eager to meet with the assessor and produce the work on time. We have three managers undertaking their training and they are pleased with the support they are receiving.

I cannot priase the company enough, for us as a company it has taken the heacache out of training. I now know that we are training our carers to a good standard in line with the current regulations.

I would like to thank you for the assistance we have received from yourself and your tutors with regard to staff training.

The tutors have carried out the training sessions in a professional manner whilst giving consideration to the resident’s privacy whilst assessing the students.

Assessments have been carried out at pre-arranged times in agreement with the students and myself.

I have spoken to staff and they have asked me to say that they have enjoyed their training for NVQ and for the induction training they have said they found the courses fairly easy as they had a lot of help and advice from their tutor.

We have had training from various companies over the years and I can say from my previous experience, staff have completed training in a shorter period of time and in a more relaxed atmosphere with Aspect than with previous trainers.
— M Morton, Rotherwood Residential Care Home, Rotherham
The level of commitment shown by the trainers has impressed me a great deal. All the candidates seem more confident and more interested with the training methods. I would advise any manager taking on training to deal with Aspect, as they will find the trainers to be friendly, helpful and very professional.

To make sure they get the best out of every candidate, they work towards each certificate by:
1. Knowing the job
2. Making sure each unit is user friendly i.e. making sure each candidate knows and understands each unit thoroughly

The trainers are always punctual and are willing to stay with their candidate until they are satisfied that they understand the work given to them on each visit. They understand if the candidate is busy with a resident, and are willing to wait until the candidate has finished with the task in hand.

The Shaw Trust is a national charity who supports people with disabilities gain and sustain worthwhile employment. As a field officer, I support a range of clients in a variety of working environments and part of my role is to identify ways of helping clients progress within their chosen vocation.

I have used Aspect Training for just this purpose. They have provided excellent NVQ training for two of my clients who work within the care industry. Both have a learning disability and require extra support to achieve. Aspect have been sensitive to this and have provided an assessor with relevant skills and experience along with a training package suited to their needs.

As their Shaw Trust Officer, I visit both clients regularly and they have each expressed how much they have enjoyed the training and they are very proud of what they have achieved. It has done wonders for their self-esteem. The employers in each case are also very impressed with the results.
— Helen Glaister, Development Officer, Shaw Trust
We have been employed in care of the elderly for over ten years, and employ over forty-five employees. A wide range of training providers have been used and from various sources and our experiences from prior providers made us very disillusioned towards the training we received and the format in which we received training.

For the last two and a half years we have used Aspect Training to cover all our training programmes and we have been more than happy with the training and format we have received.

Aspect Training are very organised, professional and dedicated to providing quality training.
— A Neill, Beechy Knoll Ltd, Sheffield
I have been very impressed with Aspect Training, with high achievement rates and no drop outs. I had 10 induction packs to complete for our new starters and offered Aspect Training the opportunity to complete the training. It should have taken 6 weeks, but we only had 4 weeks before the closing date.

Aspect took the challenge and as usual achieved with their high standards.

As a home manager, I am able to recommend Aspect Training to my colleagues with total confidence of their abilities and our success rates.

I have recently completed my NVQ 3 in Direct Care with Aspect Training.
I am delighted with the professional and helpful approach shown by the assessors who were responsible for steering myself and my colleagues through the course, they were always available for advice and support, including evenings and weekends.

They could be relied upon to be punctual and arrive on specified dates as arranged.

The learning aids used ie handouts, question sheets etc were of a high standard but easily understood, making the sometimes complicated NVQ jargon decipherable.

In conclusion, I believe Aspect Training to be a professional company with the ability to deliver a first class training package
— John Moss, Senior Care Assistant, Rotherham
Aspect Training have been delivering NVQ training to Care Assistants at this home for over a year. During this period I have found both the tutor and Aspect Training to be reliable and trustworthy in the delivery of the high standard of training which has been very successful and resulted in many of the staff achieving Level 2 and 3 in NVQ health care.
